Day 1: WARSAW
Your personal driver meets you right at the arrival hall, so you don’t have to worry about getting to your hotel...
The driver will take care of you from the first minute of this tour.
Day 2: WARSAW
Sightseeing tour of Warsaw You start with the outstanding Great Theater of Warsaw, designed in the 19th century, which is still one of the biggest theatres in Europe...
Then, a stop at one of the most important Polish monuments – the Tomb of The Unknown Soldier. Those two places are located close to the marvelous English-French style Saxon Garden. Afterwards, you will head to the giant Palace of Culture – the most impressive and the highest building in town. Then you will walk down the Marszałkowska Street with its monumental squares and sculptures and buildings in the socialist-realism style. The following part of your tour is a short walk in the charming Łazienki Królewskie (The Royal Baths) English-style park. After a visit to the park you will drive down the Royal Route – Warsaw’s representative avenue. You will also have an opportunity to see the Polish Parliament House. Your last stop, the Old Town, is probably the greatest highlight of Warsaw. Having been destroyed during the WWII it has been so fastidiously restored that in the 1980 it was added to the UNESCO heritage list. Medieval townhouses, an impressive castle and the outstanding Warsaw Cathedral create an unforgettable atmosphere of this place.
Day 3: WARSAW–MALBORK CASTLE–GDAŃSK
Just after breakfast you are going to depart for Nothern Poland. The first stop will be the amazing Castle in Malbork...
It is the mightiest fortress of medieval Europe. The building of the castle started in the 13th century and it was constructed by the Teutonic Knights in stages. The belts of defensive walls with towers and gates are very impressive and the red brick walls of Middle and High Castle are quite distinctive. Tourists can admire the genius of the medieval builders when they see the smart system of central heating, difficult to imagine in 14th century. After the sighsteeing and lunch break you are going to head for Gdańsk.
Day 4: GDAŃSK
For some of you Gdańsk may be the most familiar city in Poland. It is the home of Lech Wałęsa, Solidarity and former Lenin Shipyards...
It is believed to be the most beautiful city of Nothern Europe. It outstands with precious historical sites as well as with turbulent history. In 1939, the first shots of World War II were taken here. During the tour you are going to see the main attractions of the Old Town, including the Neptune’s Fountain which is the symbol of the city, the biggest gothic church made of brick in Europe and amazing tenement houses of Długa Street. The second part of the sightseeing will be devoted to the visiting the European Solidarity Center and the shipyard – the place where the Solidarty movement was born. Optional: Tour to Sopot – the most famous Polish seaside resort.
Day 5: GDAŃSK – TORUŃ
You leave Gdańsk for Toruń. It is the birthplace of the famous Polish astronomer – Mikołaj Kopernik...
It is also well known for its gingerbread, university and historical Old Town. In the area of the Old Town you can admire original medieval buildings.
Day 6: TORUŃ – WROCŁAW
Wrocław – the capital city of the Lower Silesia region is the fourth largest city in Poland...
Throughout centuries, different influences and the changing Polish borders affected the city. Needless to say, before World War II the city belonged to Germany! Now, you can admire those multicultural influences of the city and its architecure. We will start the sightseeing with a walk around the marvelous Main Market. Our English- speaking guide will take you round to show the eye-catching Old Town Hall built in the 13th century, the gothic Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, the impressive building of the University of Wrocław with the magnificent baroque hall of Aula Leopoldina.
Day 7: WROCŁAW–ŚWIDNICA CHURCH & KSIĄŻ CASTLE
This day will be dedicated to a trip outside of Wrocław. Our first stop will be the town of Świdnica, where you can admire one of the most suprising UNESCO Heritage Site – the Church of Peace...
It is an Evangelical Church, built in the 17th century – the largest timber-framed religious construction in Europe. The next stop is the Książ Castle – one of the best-preserved castles in the Lower Silesia region. This majestic residence was transformed into a bomb-proof bunker for Hitler during the war. Return to Wrocław in the afternoon for the overnight.
Day 8: WROCŁAW–AUSCHWITZ–KRAKÓW
On the way from Wrocław to Kraków (the most popular Polish tourist destination) you are going to pay a visit to the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum. This is an obligatory destination for all humanist-minded visitors...
Every year, milions of them choose to walk through the same gate as the prisoners did, with its cynical inscription: “Arbeit macht frei”. The tour, with an English-speaking museum guide, takes 4 hours. You will visit the buildings of the Auschwitz I and Auschwitz II-Birkenau complexes. A big portion of the original infrastructure has been kept – roads, barracks and watchtowers. Inside there are collections of original documents and exhibitions conmemorating the victims. No matter how much you know about the Holocaust and the history of the Second World War, the perspective gained by visiting Auschwitz is incomparable. Some people give up visiting the complex of Auschwitz II, though only there the full scope of the concentration camp can be grasped. Arrival to Kraków in the late afternoon.
Day 9: KRAKÓW & WIELICZKA SALT MINE
This day will be dedicated to a walking tour of Kraków and a visit to the majestic Salt Mine in Wieliczka. The tour starts with the Castle and Cathedral on the Wawel hill...
Following the Royal Route, you go down Kanonicza and Grodzka Streets to see the ancient Jagiellonian university premises, and then a stroll leads you through the largest medieval Town Square in Europe. While there, you can stop to visit the oldest shopping mall – the Sukiennice cloth hall, and then the Church of the Virgin Mary with its magnificent Gothic wooden altar by Veit Stoss. The tour finishes at the fortified city walls beside the Barbican Gate. After a quick moment of rest, prepare to be amazed at the devotion and faith, not to mention superstition, that drove miners to carve figures, monuments and altarpieces into the walls of an 800-year-old salt mine in Wieliczka. As you walk down the 360 steps into the salt mine, you get the impression of entering a vast underground city, complete with huge caverns and underground lakes. This subterrean world has earned a place on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage list. You will visit the largest chapel, devoted to St Kinga, the patron saint of salt miners. The underground church is richly decorated with chandeliers, sculptures, and religious figures carved out of salt.
Day 10: KRAKÓW–ZAKOPANE
Feel invited to our one day tour to Zakopane – a major Polish mountain resort, crowded with visitors thoughout its summer hiking and winter skiing seasons...
First you are going to take a funicular up to the top of Gubałówka Hill to admire the excellent view of the Tatra Mountains. Later you are going to exprience the unique local highlander style by walking though the bustling streets of Zakopane, including Krupówki – the main street in Zakopane. After sightseeing you are going to have some free time for lunch in a local restaurant and shopping. Return to Kraków in the afternoon.
Day 11: KRAKÓW – CZĘSTOCHOWA – WARSAW
Time to leave Kraków and head back to Warsaw. On the way you are going to pay a visit to Częstochowa – the town where the famous Monastery with the miraculous painting of Black Madonna is located...
The local guide will show you the main chapel with the Painting, as well as the beautiful baroque Basilica and tell you about the turbulent history of this place. Arrival to Warsaw around 05:00 PM.
Day 12: KRAKÓW-WARSAW

My father and I recently returned from our Ultimate Poland tour and we really cannot express how impressed we were with the RealPoland coordination, staff, accommodations, food, local guides and transportation. The itinerary was filled with visits to key historic and cultural sites along with some fun activities like making our own Polish pottery and a pierogi workshop - admittedly, my father and I still need to work on these skills. The accommodations were top class European standard hotels. Breakfast each day was provided in the hotels and dinners were pre-planned at various interesting restaurants in whichever city or town we happened to be staying. Lunch was on us, this may seem daunting but the tours are arranged so that a convenient lunch break happens in a square or Old Town area with an ample choice of cafes and restaurants. As for the Polish cuisine, don’t expect kielbasa and pierogis for every meal - they like to mix it up for you.
Our original intent for taking the tour was to learn more about our Polish heritage. We asked to add an extra day on the end so that we could visit my great grandparents village - the Real Poland staff took care of everything for us, an extended itinerary with hotel, transportation and a local guide.
I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed the beautiful county of Poland. It's clean, safe and very affordable. Additionally, the staff at RealPoland are amazing - especially all of the "Magdas". If you are considering a trip to Poland and are worried about getting around or finding the right tour I would highly recommend RealPoland they are first class.
