Our groups are much smaller than typical group tours offered by other tour operators, which makes our tours even more special and really allows us to give a personal touch to them.

BASIC INFORMATION

Arrival and Departure

The tour is land only, flights are not included. The starting city is Warsaw and the ending city is Kraków. Please have that in mind when booking your flights.

Accommodation

The duration of the tour is 12 days (11 nights). The group stays at centrally located 4* hotels in Warsaw, Lidzbark, Gdańsk, Toruń, Wrocław and Kraków.

Meals

Breakfast is included every morning. Dinners are provided on some evenings, while on others, you'll have the opportunity to explore Polish cuisine independently; lunches are not included.

Activity Level

The tour involves a moderate amount of walking a day, often on uneven surfaces. Walking tours typically involve 2-4 hours of walking and standing. Participants should also be able to descend several flights of stairs.

DAY BY DAY ITINERARY

Day 1: WELCOME TO POLAND!

Your adventure begins as you arrive in the vibrant capital city of Poland. Upon arrival, take some time to relax and settle into your hotel, soaking in the historic charm and modern energy of Warsaw. In the evening, you will meet your fellow travelers and friendly tour leader for a welcome dinner. This is a perfect opportunity to get to know each other, share stories, and discuss the exciting journey ahead. Welcome to your Polish adventure!

Day 3: WOLF'S LAIR

Head north to discover Wolf’s Lair, Hitler’s hidden WWII headquarters nestled deep in the forest. Explore this unique military complex, with its bunkers, old railway line, and airfield. Imagine the strategic planning that took place in this self-sufficient site, complete with its own power station.
Continue your journey to the picturesque village of Święta Lipka, known for its baroque church. Enjoy an enchanting organ concert, a highlight that attracts many visitors. End your day with a night at a 14th-century castle, now an artistic hotel with spa facilities.

Bus ride: Warsaw - Wolf's Lair and Święta Lipka - Lidzbark Warmiński (approx. 400 km)

Day 4: MALBORK & GDAŃSK

Visit the Teutonic Castle in Malbork, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a marvel of medieval architecture. As you explore the grand halls and imposing fortifications, imagine the powerful Teutonic Order that once called this fortress home, shaping the medieval history of Poland. We bet you will be amazed at the greatness of the fortress. For years, the castle was the seat of the Teutonic Order, which played a leading role in the medieval history of Poland. Travel to Gdańsk, nicknamed the “Pearl of Northern Poland”. Enjoy the unique atmosphere and the great examples of Hanseatic architecture. Unfortunately, the Second World War left its mark on the city, but it was meticulously restored and is now a tempting tourist destination, especially with its picturesque Old Town.

Day 6: TORUŃ

Time to leave Gdańsk and discover the rich history and cultural delights of Toruń, a city famed as the birthplace of Nicolaus Copernicus and celebrated for its stunning Gothic architecture. Founded in the 13th century, Toruń's Medieval Town is proudly recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, offering a glimpse into its illustrious past.

Explore the well-preserved historical monuments that escaped the devastation of World War II, including impressive Gothic churches and picturesque townhouses.

A visit in Toruń wouldn't be complete without tasting the famous Toruń gingerbread, and you'll even have the opportunity to participate in a gingerbread-making workshop, learning the secrets of crafting these delicious "pierniki".

Toruń promises a day filled with history, culture, and culinary delights, ensuring an unforgettable experience in the heart of Poland.

Day 7: WROCŁAW

Leave Toruń and continue your journey to Wrocław, one of Poland's most beautiful cities. In the afternoon, discover it with a local guide during a guided tour. Enjoy wandering along the cobbled streets, along canals and across bridges. Discover Ostrów Tumski, the oldest part of Wrocław, dating back to the 9th century and founded by a Slavic tribe. Stroll through this historic district, adorned with ancient churches and tranquil gardens.

Keep an eye out for Wrocław’s famous dwarves scattered throughout the city, each with its own unique story to tell. Don’t miss the opportunity to shop for traditional Polish pottery at the official Bolesławiec pottery shop in Wrocław, renowned for its craftsmanship and intricate designs.

Day 9: KRAKÓW

For hundreds of years, Kraków was the capital of Poland – the center of Polish political, cultural and scientific life. The city, with its unique atmosphere, is one of the most beautiful showpieces of Eastern Europe – which is why its historic center appeared on the first ever UNESCO World Heritage List in 1978. It is a city of majestic monuments, cobbled streets, priceless townhouses, pieces of fine architecture and last but not least, the city of Polish kings. Visit the Wawel Hill where the Castle and Cathedral are located - a marvelous renaissance residence of kings and a place where kings were crowned, as well as buried. Walk to the Main Market Square. It’s known for the anthem played every day, midday, from the tower of St. Mary’s Church. Look for souvenirs in the Cloth Hall, a renaissance equivalent of a shopping mall.. While roaming around the Old Town, see the Barbican and the breathtaking Floriańska Gate.

Day 10: ZAKOPANE

Visit Zakopane to see the unique, regional style of wooden architecture. Enjoy most picturesque view over the Tatra mountains from the top of Gubałówka. Don’t worry – there won’t be any need for perilous climbing – you will reach it by a funicular! Visit the old cemetery, where tombs of famous Polish writers or poets can be found. Take a walk on Krupówki, the perfect place to purchase some regional souvenirs, and learn more about the history and culture of this highlander region at the Tatra Museum. Last but not least, visit the old wooden church in Jaszczurówka. End the day in Zakopane with a delicious dinner at a traditional highlander restaurant. After that, return to Kraków.

Day 12: GOODBYE, POLAND!

Breakfast is included this morning, but there are no scheduled group activities for today. From Kraków, you’re well connected—whether you're heading home or continuing your travels, both Kraków-Balice Airport and the main train station offer excellent transport options.

This day can also mark the beginning of a personalized extension tour just for you. Many travelers choose to visit Częstochowa, home to the revered Jasna Góra Monastery and the Black Madonna icon. If you're interested in extending your journey, speak with your tour consultant to plan a custom itinerary that suits your interests and schedule.
